Estoy Blogeando Aqui.

From 10 San Cristobal
San Cristóbal is pretty cool. Very cool, actually.

In many ways, much more sophisticated and cosmopolitan than Austin, the closest city I can compare it to. Every cafe has wireless. Many languages can be heard spoken here. The food is widely varied . Even the Americans are less obnoxious than in other parts of Mexico.

In front of every church is a sign in English and Spanish explaining the history of the building you are looking at, with a number you can text, so you can get more information on either the history, architecture or lore of the structure. Seems simple to do, right?

It really bugs me that a city in the poorest state of Mexico is much more sophisticated, much more intellectual, much more politically active and aware, much more literate than my own hometown, the tenth largest city in supposedly the richest country on the world.

Yes, I know I am just talking about the narrow sliver of the city that I saw, but why can't MY city have a similar narrow sliver?
