The City of Tuxtla Gutierrez.

From 08 Oaxaca
The best part of the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez is a celebration of Oaxaca, where I just left. That's how dismal it is. Hey, I guess there had to be one clunker in a string of magically charming cities.

A lot Mexican modernism here. The charmless type that takes the form of rebar, cinderblock and painted stucco.

The main plaza is just oppressive and shade-free, which is bad, since it's so hot and bright.

I'll venture out for dinner. I might have softened my opinion by then.
