Tricky Treat III.

From 08 Oaxaca
This little girl was cute, too.

There are a few more, but you get the idea. Adorable kids. Masks. The entrepeneurial spirit.

Tricky Treat I

From 08 Oaxaca

There were so many kids asking for money in costume as I was eating my meal, I thought that I'd take their picture- and give them money- instead of trying to shoo them off in a kindly, avencular way. With a mouth full of mole.

Regional Specialty.

Dark mole with chicken.

(Am I over-blogging? You can just scroll through the parts that don't interest you. Mostly, I'm doing it so I don't forget. I have an AWFUL memory.)

Also, I wish I had taken this photo earlier, when the meal looked more appealing and I hadn't just sucked down that second michelada.

Oaxaca.

Another great city. I was deliriously sleepy when I took this photo. It made the city seem somewhat hallucina-terriffic.

DF to Oaxaca.

Seven hours, but often very beautiful.

I had spent the previous six hours on a bus from Morelia to DF. And waiting in the overcrowded, loud, bus fume-y station.

I was listening to Spiritualized much of the time on this leg of the trip. It fit, somehow.
